From a young age, Meriah has always enjoyed helping others, especially those who are often forgotten by society. Wanting to make a positive impact on her community, Meriah looked to the legal field to help her fulfill this goal. As a paralegal, Meriah knew she could help make the legal system more accessible for people. During her internship, she saw firsthand how challenging navigating the court system can be for pro se clients and decided to devote her paralegal career to helping not only pro se clients but any litigants who are overlooked and struggling with their legal battles.
Meriah is devoted to not only her clients and their cases, but also to her peers. The support she provides the attorneys ensures cases and day-to-day legal activities at the law firm run as smoothly as possible. Among her many responsibilities at the law firm, Meriah works with clients on their Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) certification for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSB) and veteran-owned small businesses (VOSB). She fields questions, verifies certification qualifications, and will be helping clients complete the CVE certification process and submitting the necessary documentation on their behalf.
Meriah supports all attorneys with a focus on Government Contracts, Litigation, Social Security, and Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) Certification.
Meriah interned at Colorado Bar Association (CBA) Federal Pro Se clinic, a legal clinic assisting unrepresented litigants in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. During her internship, Meriah worked alongside attorneys who helped advise clients with their legal documents, filings, and litigation proceedings. In the future, Meriah plans to continue her volunteer work with pro se clients helping them navigate the legal system.
