One of Wayne’s fifth grade report cards said “Wayne is a good reader, but he needs to read something more than just science fiction.” Nonetheless, Wayne still reads and watches mostly science fiction, and his interest in space exploration has shaped his career. After attending space conferences for approximately 20 years (Wayne’s version of a vacation), he began having technical ideas for space development. In 2003 he gave an idea to the government that is now the DARPA project Robotic Servicing of Geosynchronous Satellites Robotics Servicing In 2014 Wayne was awarded a U.S. patent for his space structure concept Patent Concept Wayne wrote the patent application and prosecuted the patent himself and he is very proud of this accomplishment.
In his spare time Wayne enjoys hiking, camping, running, swimming and socializing with friends. Wayne is a Broncos fan and enjoys watching them win football games. Go Broncos!
